Shaping Your Own Path

So I travelled again last week. A pre-planned conference and I knew I would have to dedicate all of me where I was going. So I missed another Tuesday with T post. As important as my entrepreneurial journey is, it is equally important that I maintain a sense of self. This means continuing to grow, continuing to learn, which means I am continuing to seek balance. I and you too will miss our mark and miss it often, which we must learn to refresh and then forgive ourselves and keep striving to be better.

With that little blurb, I am back and although these posts are brief, they are pivotal to my path. These are posts that are read by some and ignored by others. One day, month or even year, I’ll reread them to see how much I’ve grown. For now though I am still pretty consistent maintaining an even pace with clients. I finished a huge calligraphy job for a client in Pasadena just before I left and I also shot images at Pulp Juice Bar and today I had a shoot at Seoul Street. I love shooting food images and writing beautiful calligraphy. The pay can be good but for me the connections are so much better. I meet people that are kind and interesting and often so different from me, but what an odd thought to know that in the blink of an eye It could all be gone tomorrow. Strive to be your best you, but stop along the way to converse with each other. Put yourself out there and take a risk and be kind expecting nothing in return. Be genuine, be you and be proud about it. I love when I have a pen in hand or am behind the shutter. I thrive on being the best I can be but I can accept when I am not, at the end of the day, if I can smile and know that I interacted and learned or challenged myself, I’m good. Just remember make connections, you’ll make your mark and make the money too at some point. Thoughts? Let’s collaborate, email, DM or whatever…..until next Tuesday.
